GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE

1. DEFINITIONS

• Rental / Stay: any reservation of a gîte or bed and breakfast
• Owner: or their representative
• Security Deposit: a deposit

2. NATURE OF THE CONTRACT

These terms and conditions govern the rental of furnished tourist accommodations (gîtes) and bed and breakfast rooms.

Stays are for temporary residence only. The tenant may not, under any circumstances, use the property as a primary or secondary residence.

Any commercial or professional activity is prohibited without prior written consent.

3. LENGTH OF STAY

The stay is for a fixed period. The client may not, under any circumstances, claim a right to remain on the premises beyond the agreed period.

4. BOOKING

The booking becomes final after:
• acceptance of these Terms and Conditions
• payment of the deposit or balance
• receipt of the signed contract

Deposit:
• 30% more than 15 days prior to arrival
• 100% less than 15 days prior to arrival

The balance is due 15 days before arrival.

5. RATES

Prices are quoted in euros, including VAT.

The tourist tax is applicable according to current regulations and is paid to the inter-municipal authority.

6. ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE

Check-in and check-out times are provided before your stay.

7. INVENTORY – COTTAGES

An inventory is carried out upon arrival and departure.

Any discrepancies must be reported within 24 hours.

8. BED AND BREAKFAST

Rooms are provided clean and ready for use.

Cleaning is included. No formal inventory is carried out.

9. SECURITY DEPOSIT (COTTAGES ONLY)

A security deposit of €800 is required for each booking.

This deposit will either be refunded or the credit card authorization will be released within a maximum of 7 days after departure, provided there is no damage or deterioration to the property.

If necessary, the cost of repairs will be deducted from the security deposit, upon presentation of supporting documentation.

10. USE OF PREMISES

The client agrees to:
• respect the premises and equipment
• respect the neighbors
• respect the house rules

The accommodation may only be occupied by the number of people specified.

La Bastide de Peyremale is a place dedicated to peace and relaxation. Parties, gatherings, and events (birthdays, reunions, bachelor/bachelorette parties, etc.) are strictly prohibited, unless prior written consent has been obtained from the owner.

In the event of non-compliance with this rule, the owner reserves the right to immediately terminate the stay, without compensation, and to charge for any damages or disturbances observed.

11. ACCESS AND MAINTENANCE

The owner may access the accommodation with the client’s prior consent or in case of emergency.

The garden and swimming pool may be subject to regular maintenance.

12. PETS

Pets are only accepted with prior consent.

13. INSURANCE

The client is responsible for any damage caused.

They must have liability insurance.

14. LIABILITY

The owner cannot be held responsible for the loss or theft of personal belongings.

15. SWIMMING POOL

Use of the swimming pool is at the users’ own risk.

Safety rules must be followed.

16. CANCELLATION BY THE CLIENT

More than 30 days: deposit retained

Less than 30 days: full deposit retained

In case of early departure: no refund

Cancellation insurance is recommended.

17. CANCELLATION BY THE OWNER

In case of cancellation, all payments made will be fully refunded.

18. TERMINATION FOR BREACH OF CONDITIONS

In case of serious breach of the conditions (disturbances, damage, exceeding the maximum number of guests), the stay may be terminated.

The sums remain due on a pro rata basis according to the length of the stay and any damages incurred.

19. COMPLAINTS

All complaints must be reported during the stay.

20. MEDIATION

In accordance with the law, the client may contact a consumer mediator.

21. APPLICABLE LAW

These Terms and Conditions are governed by French law.

22. SPIRIT OF THE PLACE

La Bastide de Peyremale is a place of peace and nature.
